Anatomy of a Chase Scene - Car Choregraphy - Taking of Pelham 1:23
I was able to join the core driving team working with the stunt group to prepare for the chase scenes today. It was interesting to see all the work that goes into doing just a couple chase scenes. All the staff, stunt people, vehicles, directors, miniature replicas of the scenes, and the practice and vehicle choreography.

It was a beautiful day again on the lake in Rockland County NY and I got to take some breaks to throw the baseball, football, rollerblade and even log onto the internet a bit. Everyone there was great, including the caterer.
Looks like we'll be spending many days on these scenes. Whats amazing is that in addition to the core team of 20-30 drivers, there will be hundreds more vehicles involved in all the action.
I have observed that Billy Dowd, Shaun, and Johanna (sp?) are really pleasant and professional people to work with, and Billy Dowd Casting is great to work for.

A fine day of work it was with the lake, football, baseball, good people, food, rollerblading & wildlife!
